General Description:

Trailing suction hopper dredger is a type of dredger equipped with trailing head excavator and hydraulic suction device. When dredging, lower the rake suction pipe to the bottom of the river, and use the vacuum effect of the mud pump to absorb mud from the bottom of the river through the rake head and suction pipe into the mud bin of the dredger. After the mud bin is full, lift the rake and sail to the dumping area to open the mud gate for unloading, or directly discharge the excavated soil outside the dredger. Some dredgers can also suck out the soil unloaded from the mud bin and blow fill it by themselves. It has good navigation performance and can be self propelled, self loaded, and self dumping. It is suitable for excavation and maintenance of coastal access channels, with the highest efficiency when excavating silt.
