Introduction to bucket wheel dredger

The bucket wheel dredger adopts a series of bucket chains with buckets, which are driven by guide wheels and continuously rotate on the bucket bridge, allowing the dredger to dredge underwater and lift above the water surface. At the same time, the anchor cables thrown from the front and back are retracted and moved left and right, causing the hull to move forward or swing left and right for dredging operations. The excavated soil is lifted to the top of a bucket tower, poured into a mud pit, and discharged into a mud barge docked next to the dredger through a chute. It is then dragged by a pulley to the unloading area for mud discharge. The bucket wheel dredger has strong adaptability to soil and can excavate various types of soil except for rocks. It has high excavation capacity, regular trench sections, and small errors. It is more suitable for various specifications such as ports, berths, and hydraulic structures. It is a strict engineering construction with a certain scope of application.
